TEN/SD Final

15:00

For those who are interested, here is the projected draft order for next season:
Joel
Jason
Tony
Erik
Jeff
Brian
Ben (Playoff contingent)
Andrew (Playoff contingent)
Casey (Playoff contingent)
Chris (Playoff contingent)

Mock Draft
Joel: Reggie Bush
Jason: Brian Westbrook
Tony: Jeff Garcia
Erik: Noel Devine
Jeff: Traded for Cedric Benson
Brian: John Kitna
Ben: Peyton Manning (as to avoid Philip Rivers)
Andrew: Frank Gore (Gore owes Andrew)
Casey: Randy Moss, Terrell Owens and T.J. Houshmandzadah
Chris: New England Patriots (minus Moss)

14:54

SD picks up right were they left off with an awesome block in the back penalty. Clutch.

14:18

LDT finally picks up a fantasy point on his ninth carry of the game.

13:40

I don’t remember who drafted Chris Chambers but he seems to be Rivers only target left (aside from screens to LDT, which have not been called).

Chambers: 3 catches, 56 yards

13:26

Tomlinson with a highlight reel worthy one-yard run.

12:53

PHILIP RIVERS! Long pass to Jackson! I knew I should start RIVERS!

I am now learning that it is really hard to eat and blog at the same time. I thought you should know this.

12:14

Ok, so SD just pitched to LDT to get him out in the open, a great call. Only problem is that TEN is REALLY fast. I’ve never seen a defense close in on LDT like that.

10:58

STOP GIVING LDT THE BALL IN THE REDZONE! RIVERS NEEDS A TD!

These Whopper commercials are hilarious, I cannot believe someone had not come up with that idea before. The only problem with the commercial is that it is about Whoppers. If Burger King stopped selling Whoppers I would not notice because I never go there. I just wish the commercial was more believable and about a product I actually cared about like Fantasy Baseball magazines.

9:41

Nate Keading makes the field goal to cut the lead to 6-3. Additionally, LDT is pissed. I really hope the Chargers lose, even though that would mean that I would have no more quarterbacks for the rest of the playoffs.

Quick Big Ben vs Rivers comparison:
Big Ben: 18 points
Rivers: 5 points

I LOVE FANTASY FOOTBALL BECAUSE IT MAKES ME DEPRESSED!

7:55

I am really bummed that the Chiefs are not going to try to trade Tony Gonzalez. Imagine if the Chiefs traded him to the Titans. The Titans would have their missing piece and we could get two or three picks for him.

7:17

It’s the Tacoma commercial… Freaked. Out.

5:46

LDT with his longest gain of the day: a five yard swing pass.

3:38

I think my favorite thing in football is when player point to cleat marks or debits on the field to prove the pass was incomplete or that they were not out of bounds or something. If I were that player, I would over shoot the thing by ten yards to prove the player was down. It is one of my favorite arguing tactics by players.

2:35

TOUCHDOWN RIVERS!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m back in this thing! (By back in this, I mean, I’m screwed.)

10-6 San Diego.

:38

VINCE FREAKING YOUNG! He is in Rose Bowl Mode for sure. They are easily moving the ball down the field.

0:

Big Ben: 18
Big Philip: 11

15:00

LDT: 14 carries, 15 yards; 2 catches, 10 yards. Yeah, I did not see that coming.

14:07

A killer missed field goal by Tennessee. If SD scores at TD on this possession it is over.

13:18

LDT just doubled his rushing total with a thirteen yard carry. Is it weird that Rivers is going to have three times as many fantasy points in this game as LDT?

8:49

Instant replay should provide me with a touchdown pass. If this is so, Rivers will have 17 points. So glad I started Rivers. Never doubted it for a minute.

Dang it, no TD

8:42

LDT. TD. I hate my life. Excuse me while I go jump off the SBU bell tower.

LDT: 19 carries, 30 yards, TD; 3 rec., 19 yards; 10 fantasy points. Boo.

8:16

Tennessee runs back the kick! TOUCHDOWN! 17-14 after the two point conversion!

8:06

I lied.

7:40

Shawn Merriman finally showed up. He destroyed that whole drive for Tennessee.

6:57

I don’t care what happens, I just need Rivers to throw an eight yard pass. That’s all I’m asking for.

5:43

Average yards per carry:
LDT – 2.0; 11 fantasy points
Turner – 7.0; 1 fantasy point

Boo fantasy.

3:56

I have this awesomely bad feeling that Rivers is not going to get his eight yard pass.

W/O pass: 13 points
W/pass: 19 points

Once again, it is these kind of things that plague me in fantasy.

With Hackett and Big Ben: 63 total points
W/O Hackett and Big Ben: 40 total points

3:33

Young with the INT.

Please let Rivers throw the “Eff You TD”, please let Rivers throw the “Eff You TD”….

2:38

Come on, its 3rd and five and you get the first down the game is over. PLEASE THROW A PASS!!!!!!!!!!!!

1:53

After Albert Haynesworth jumped offsides, SD runs for the first down and will now kneel out to end the game. Boo.

1:37

Next weekend:
NYG @ Dallas
Seattle @ Green Bay
San Diego @ Indianapolis
Jacksonville @ New England

:44

Key players next week:
Philip Rivers: Can he have another good week?
Terrell Owens: Is he healthy?
Tony Romo: Has he shaked off the playoffs from last year?
Tom Brady: Did he contract AIDS over the past week?
LDT: Can he bounce back next week?

:03

I hate Norv Turner.
